REV. CORY DOIRON— serves as the lead pastor at Church For Neighbors, a church plant in Portland, OR… one of the most unchurched cities in America, and recently deemed “America’s Post-Christian Frontier” by Outreach Magazine. He has a Masters of Arts in Pastoral Theology from Kingswood Univeristy, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Church Planting and Revitalization from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
Cory has a passion for studying, teaching and living theology in the context of the post-Christian culture. — When not in and out of meetings, coaching hockey, or preparing to teach… Cory can be found spending time with his lovely wife and their two kids, sipping on a cup of coffee at his favorite neighborhood shop, seeking ways to get involved in local projects, or sitting around a fire exchanging stories alongside his closest friends.
REV. AARON HUGHES— graduated from Southeast Missouri State with a degree in Business Administration, and spent almost a decade in sales and operation roles in MO and TX…. roles that God clearly used to prepare him for his eventual ‘call’ into full-time ministry. Aaron is currently working towards an MA in Christian Leadership through Wesley Seminary. For the past two years, he has had the privilege of serving as pastor of Hot Springs Wesleyan Church in HotSprings, SD, and is currently in process of transition to lead pastor at Sheridan Wesleyan in Sheridan, WY. — When not at the church, Aaron enjoys spending time with his three amazing kiddos (Adeline, Grayston, and Harper) and his beautiful wife, Courtney. He is an aspiring fly fisherman and hunter (‘aspiring’ being the key word)… and a die-hard University of Kentucky basketball fan.
REV. MARLY KENDRICK— grew up in Michigan and gave her life to the Lord as a teen. Early on in her walk with the Lord, she knew God had placed a calling on her life to serve Him in vocational ministry. While attending Kingswood University, she met and married her wonderful husband, Josh. They have been married for 12 years, and have two awesome boys—Jack, who is 9, and Sullivan, who is 5. She and Josh have joyfully served at Redfield Wesleyan Church since 2008, and are excited for the future ministry God has in store for their family in church planting. Marly humbly desires that God will continue working through her, to empower other believers to be ministers of the Gospel, and thereby spread the hope ofChrist.
REV. BENJAMIN MARGESON— was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and wanted to be ’anything but’ a pastor. It was on a mission trip to
Mexico that Ben embraced his call to ministry. He is a graduate of Tyndale University College and Seminary, and began his MDiv at Wesley Seminary in January 2013. In 2015, he became the college pastor at GracePoint in Brookings, SD, where he has had the amazing privilege of stewarding the ministry of ’Oasis’… getting to work with many amazing college students—the most incredible (according to him) being one of the student leaders, Keahna Fenwick. — Ben and Keahna were married on November 4, 2017, and are loving life together in Brookings! Keahna is a few months away from completing her Masters in environmental sociology, while Ben is wrapping up his MDiv. — They love hiking, motorcycle riding, reading, running, and hanging out and walking with their three dogs—Kade, Aspen, Ace.
REV. JACOB THURSTON— was born and raised in Fountain City, Indiana, and has been active in the church his entire life. God called him into full-time
vocational ministry at a Wesleyan Youth Conference in December of 2009, and he has devoted his life to serving the church ever since. Jacob received his bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries at Indiana Wesleyan University in 2015, his Master’s of Practical Theology in 2017, and just finished a 2-year residency at The Ransom Church, in Sioux Falls, SD, where he now serves as the Downtown Campus Connections Pastor. — Jacob is a lover of life, a friend to all, and strives to share the joy of Christ through everything that he does.
