Charlie and Helen Morehouse were always very interested in helping young men and women preparing for fulltime Christian service. For many years they were faithful, supportive laymen of The Wesleyan Church in Bristol, South Dakota. Charlie passed away on June 16, 1991, at the age of 82 years, but the investment that he and his wife, Helen, made in setting up a the Morehouse Scholarship Fund lives on in young people like yourself, who are benefitting from their stewardship.
Helen continued living on the family farm for a number of years before finally moving into a retirement home. Helen passed away in 2004. Her son, Curtis, is married and farms near Bristol.
A note of testimony and personal appreciation would be a great blessing to him, letting him know that the gift his parents provided through the Morehouse Scholarship Fund is accomplishing the purpose for which they established it. The thought that young people preparing for fulltime Christian service, would be receiving help in some way by their stewardship, was a constant encouragement to them.
