welcomeThe Northwest District is an exciting and large region of The Wesleyan Church! We are composed of 71 churches, serving Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
We are made up of church congregations that are quite varied in style, in size, and in setting. Our churches range all the way from a very small rural church, to a church of over 4,400 in a growing city, to a network of Native churches totaling over 6,000. The Northwest District places a high value on a "team spirit" that embraces us all - no matter the size or location of the church! Every church matters!
We are passionate about connecting people with Christ - and about helping them grow to be like Him!
And, because planting new churches is a very effective way to accomplish this, we are totally passionate about birthing new churches.
We welcome you to visit us any time! But, since a trip to our area may not be possible, we hope that this web site will provide for you a small glimpse into what is happening among our Northwest District family!
Let's Keep Our Eyes Open This Christmas!Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support of us here in Bozeman - where it is truly a joy to serve this community as missionaries! I want to share with you a couple letters we've recently received, that really sum up why we do what we do. Thanks for being part of it!
Letter #1: My Darling David...Guess what happened yesterday? I found our new church! So, I was at Albertson's and I knew that I didn't have any money, but I had that gift card, so I was trying to stretch every cent on it. As I got to the check out, this young man approaches me and says, "Hello ma'am, would you mind if I pay for your groceries today?" Yes, he was totally serious and I was so thankful! He is from a church here in town... I think all of this praying is working... I wanted to tell you this so you can remember that there is something bigger going on here. I hope so! I love you. I can't wait to see you on Saturday. - Love you, Alli
Letter #2: To Whom It May Concern - Earlier this week a young man approached a woman in Albertson's and offered to pay for her groceries. Seeing she had an infant with her and was probably in need of a helping hand and a kind heart, he proceeded to help her more than he ever could know! You see, that woman has 4 children (from 6 months to 15 years old); lives in a small 2 bedroom apartment; and works a full-time job caring for mentally/physically disabled people. Her husband was incarcerated and she and the children have been struggling ever since. Praying has become a regular part of her life, and that of her husband and children as well. God and each other are pretty much all they have left. I know for a fact, that young man was an answered prayer from God! Please let him know that Alli and her children are forever grateful!
And I, I am especially grateful! You see, my name is David and Alli is my wife. Thank you so much for helping my family in our greatest time of need. - God bless you, David
As we enter this Holiday Season, keep your eyes open for opportunities that God might be giving you to forever change someones life! - Pastor Charley
